We are offering personal, private, one-to-one sessions, via video to discuss in greater detail your circumstances and to explore what works best for you. The purpose of this session is to really determine if you meet the general qualifications for adopting and are ready, willing, and able to proceed with our organization.
Through our website, materials and outreach, SMA has tried to provide general adoption information that we hope helps our clients navigate this difficult and nuanced topic, but we understand that each family is unique and the questions and discussion you may need to make a decision on whether adoption is right for your family are equally as unique.
Although we love talking to people about adoption, it is often difficult to provide families with the focused time and attention they may need as a function of our telephone reception services. At the same time, we understand that families may not want to commit to our two-day seminar if they are still actively weighing their options.
In order to address this gap, we are offering a new, pre-seminar/interview. We are setting aside time for families to schedule up to 90 minutes with one of the Directors or a Social Worker to receive answers and advice regarding their unique circumstances. While it is anticipated that, in most cases, we will be able to provide you with the information you need within an hour, all of these sessions include an additional 30 minutes at no additional cost should you need additional time with us. The cost of this session will be $105 prepaid within 24 hours of your meeting. After your booking has been received, we will arrange to invoice you for the session.
